Muncie is a city in the U.S. state of Indiana and the seat of Delaware County. Located in East Central Indiana, the city is approximately 60 miles (97 km) northeast of Indianapolis. As of the 2010 Census, the city's population was 70,085. It is the principal city of the Muncie, Indiana metropolitan statistical area, which has a population of 117,671.
