God is consciousness. Man crossed over into being something else the moment the first man-animal had a "thought" and started the process of reasoning and abstraction (and wanting and striving and feeling sadness and guilt and animosity and pettiness and love and yadda yadda). I'd argue that: All human pain stems from the fact that we all believe we are "human" and act according to that. We forget that the concept of "human" was made up by a human! We can only be what we are: indefinable.
