Looking to Maui's past to inform its future, the new documentary film, Ho`o Kela Wa`a (Turning the Canoe) charts a new course guided by Maui's many stars in the field of sustainable living. A Sustainable Living Institute of Maui Production in conjunction with the University of Hawai`i-Maui College, Turning the Canoe, will have its world wide premiere at the 2010 Maui Film Festival at 7:00pm on Thursday, June 17th at the Castle Theater in the Maui Arts and Cultural Center. The film was directed by Danny Miller, produced by Alex de Roode and Co-produced and written by Dr. Janet Six.
